Brian Collette
Virginia Beach, VA

“The challenge of proving I’m the best,” Brian Collette said when asked what made him want to start competing. With his most recently earned WKA USA K-1 Heavyweight Championship Title at CSC 34, in Richmond, Virginia, Brian is well on his way to proving this to the world. Collette has been a force to be reckoned with in the ring; racking up an impressive amateur record of 14-0 and a professional record of 3-0, almost all wins by KO or TKO..

His mother started him into martial arts at the age of 14 years old. He has practiced Tae Kwon Do, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Boxing. His current focus is Thai boxing and he trains at the Eastern Academy of Martial Arts (EAMMA), in Norfolk, VA under Coach Wahsei Miran, who is the owner and operator of the gym. Brian is passing down his knowledge of the sport to both kids and adults as assistant coach of the Muay Thai classes.

By focusing on his accuracy, speed, rhythm, consistency and training in some aspect every day, Brian has his sights set on the big overseas promotions such as: K-1 Global and Glory Fighting Championships. After his last big TKO over veteran Yahosuah Yahudah, K-1 has reached out to him with a possible undercard appearance in their mid-2013 event in the U.S.

Brian has had a prolific amateur career. He is a testament of the validity of the WKA as a farm system for fighters to develop their skills and move through the ranks. Brian has passed all the tests, with a successful run as an amateur and a blazing start as a pro, with 3 straight KO’s, he is looking for bigger and better challenges. Brian always prides himself on being willing and able to step up to the next challenge. Look for Brian Collette to make BIG waves in the Pro Heavyweight division.
