The WKA is proud to recognize the September
fighter of the month Elvis Gashi.
Gashi, a

Fight Club has over 16 years of fight experience.
Having begun his journey in combat training at the
age of eight years old in his native country of
Kosovo.
Elvis stands with a undefeated pro
record of 19 wins with an impressive 10 knockouts.
Elvis's most recent victory came at Glory 43 with
a 2nd round k.o. over his opponent Josh Jauncey.
This knock out victory was not only one of the most
exciting battles of Glory 43 but earned Elvis the
accolade a fight of the night.
When asked
about some of Elvis's heroes in the fight world he
credits some of the old K1 fighters like Andy Hug and
Andy Sower as being two of the instrumental figures in
his journey to a successful career in fighting.
Outside of the world of martial arts Elvis credits
George Castriot also known as Skandenberg, a 13th
century Albanian nobleman and militant commander as
being one of the biggest cultural influences in his
pursuit of combat sports.
Elvis's current
trainer is Primo Bellarosa of Westchester fight club.
Primo has stated that Elvis "is one of the hardest
working and most committed guys that he has ever
trained".
Primo has trained UFC fighters,
Bellator MMA fighter's and various kickboxing and Muay
Thai regional champions. Through out all of the
successful champions Primo has trained over the years
he maintains that Elvis "is probably the most
dedicated of them all".
Primo went on to say
that "his work ethic has no quit at all he will work
as hard as he can for every minute of every workout
until it's complete".
Elvis's training includes
six days a week with a minimum of two sessions a day.
Primo stated that "there is nothing fancy about the
training sessions...we do pad work daily...sparring a
couple days out of the week and conditioning training
like cardio and runs in between the entirety of
training for a fight".
Elvis is currently
anticipating an upcoming return to Glory kickboxing on
December 1 from Madison Square Garden.
Elvis
Gashi truly embodies his motto of "work hard and be
committed...if there is work to be done do it"; he
instills this ethic into all of the fighters on his
team that he guides.
These qualities are bound
to continue to carry Elvis Gashi's career to the
greatest heights of Glory kickboxing and beyond.
Congratulations to you Elvis Gashi, the WKA
Fighter of the month!
