** Introducing Amateur GLORY Rules Kickboxing Division **

What is the WKA NORTH AMERICAN TOURNAMENT CHAMPIONSHIPS?

The WKA North American Tournament Championships showcases the best amateurs in North America.

One weekend of the best amateur matches in North America
Combat Sports League, sanctioned by the World Kickboxing Association – USA, will host a single elimination tournament to determine the best fighters in North America. The event includes competitors from the US, Canada and Mexico, and will be used to select members for the WKA US National Team that will qualify to represent the US at the World Championships.

The World Kickboxing Association is one of the world’s oldest and most recognized governing bodies for various forms of Kickboxing. In 2000, the organization formed the WKA USA to oversee Kickboxing competition in the United States and, in 2004, WKA USA added Mixed Martial Arts, BJJ and No Gi Grappling to the portfolio of combat sports that it regulates.

The tournament includes BJJ (Gi and No Gi), MMA, Thaiboxing, GLORY Rules Kickboxing, and Full Rules Muay Thai.

2013 had a record number of registrations/competitors in both the ring sports and grappling division with over 480 competitors from North America and the world. We will have grappling mats, a cage, 3 rings, improved online registration and two days of action that begin with eliminations Saturday and finish with semifinals and finals on Sunday! The three-day affair will kick off Friday with fighter check-ins, weigh-ins, medical reviews and bracketing.

Ring Sports Rules Styles

  • GLORY Rules Kickboxing (5 seconds allowed in the clinch/knee, no elbows, no sweeps or throws)

  • Thaiboxing (clinch/knee, elbows allowed to the body)

  • Full Rules Muay Thai (clinch/knees, elbows with pads allowed to head and body)

  • MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)
