The Venezuelan-born
American is the owner and
head instructor of Jompikad
Muay Thai Gym. Eddie is an
active professional World
Champion Muay Thai fighter,
a Certified Muay Thai
Trainer (Certified by
Sitsongpeenong in Bangkok,
Thailand), as well as a NASM
Certified personal trainer
and group fitness instructor
(and CPR/AED).
Eddie
has over 29 years of martial
arts experience. Before
moving to the U.S., he spent
his childhood in Caracas,
Venezuela, where martial
arts training is extremely
popular, teaching kids
confidence, discipline and
respect. At the young age of
six, Eddie began his martial
arts studies through
training in Karate, Tae Kwon
Do, Kickboxing and Boxing.
Eddie was first introduced
to the art of Muay Thai in
2006 and has been training
and competing in the sport
ever since. His extremely
successful fighting career
has earned him many
championship titles. As an
active professional fighter,
Eddie now trains for his
fights largely at
Sitsongpeenong Muay Thai
Camp in Bangkok, Thailand,
alongside Sittichai,
Thongchai, Dechsakda, etc.,
as well as at Jompikad Gym.
Previously, Eddie spent 6yrs
training with the Sitan Gym
NY team, under Head Coach
Aziz Nabih and, before that,
4yrs training at 5 Points
Academy in NYC, under Head
Coach Steve Miles. Eddie has
fought in over 60 fights
throughout the US and
globally; including,
Thailand, Dubai, and Italy.
While professional
fighting is a large part of
Eddie’s life, he has also
spent over 15 years working
as a personal trainer,
kickboxing and Muay Thai
instructor at fitness
facilities throughout the 5
boroughs of New York City
and Connecticut. His clients
include aspiring fighters,
business professionals,
stay-at-home moms, children
and law enforcement
professionals, including FBI
agents and state troopers.
Eddie strives to provide
his clients with both
physical and mental
strength, just as he does in
his own martial arts
training. He tailors every
class to the students’
levels and every personal
training session to the
client’s needs and
abilities. While his primary
focus is on cardiovascular
endurance, core conditioning
and muscular strength, Eddie
also teaches discipline,
concentration and
determination. Eddie’s
infinite knowledge,
expertise and passion for
the sport of Muay Thai,
coupled with his commitment
to overall fitness makes
training with him a fun and
safe experience. Whatever
your fitness goals may be,
he will help you to reach
your full potential and
more!
